AW24 II: “Happy Accidents”

Welcome back to Hotel Deluxe, where we open the doors yet again to the best hotel you’ve never stayed in. We find ourselves in a rural, ’60s-inspired lodge, somewhere in upstate New York, where we imagine photographer Philippe Halsman walking the halls and browsing the mini bar.

Our shoot is inspired by his ‘Jumpology’ photos, where high-profile subjects jumped for one final frame at the end of their (serious) sitting. The result: totally candid shots of the subjects’ ‘true self’. This got us thinking about our own happy accidents—the things in life that grip us unexpectedly but turn out to be a moment of genius.

Case in point: our ‘Crazy Leopard’ fabric takes centre stage, discovered by chance at a market in India by our co-founder, David, now transformed into standout UW outerwear. Alongside, you will also find not-so-accidental in-house leopard print, mid-century patterns and unexpected trims. And our fleeces, tweeds, jumbo cords and winter twills are all checking in for another season.
